Marketing Manager

Location: Home-Based or Local co-working office (Part-time/Full-time)

Merlien Institute is looking a motivated Marketing Manager for our global conferences in Asia, Europe and north America. As Marketing Manager, you help creating awareness through developing creative content and promoting our conference brands across social media, media partners and other relevant channels.

Requirements:

  • A least 2 years experience in conference or event marketing
  • Affinity or knowledge of UX/CX or market research

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent copyrighting and writing skills in English preferred
  • Re-purposing conference content into blogs and content for social media channels
  • Creating compelling EDMs (Email Marketing Campaigns)
  • Creative content generation with internal (producers) and external stakeholders
  • Collaboration with third parties such as media partners, associations to drive visibility of our events

Goals:

  • Increase the global reach of our brands
  • Drive visitors to our event websites and portals
  • Maximise visibility of our content across all channels
  • Develop new partnerships with industry bodies, associations and media
  • Generate new leads through the increase of our subscriber base (newsletter/website)

Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager, Merlien Institute (Full-time, Home-based)

As a Business Development Manager, your goal is to create new business by acquiring new clients and selling our sponsorship packages to our existing customers. Your tasks include prospecting, contacting and meeting potential clients, closing sales and maintaining customer relationships. You will work on a range of dedicate accounts that you will nurture and grow. In addition you will constantly be looking for new potential customers and build relationships with them.

With your consultative sales style, you will help our customers reach their target groups and the right investors through our service and conference concept. Your work is supported by marketing and presales functions, providing prospects and leads.

We are looking for:

  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to create new business opportunities
  • Genuine passion for sales and the drive to be a top scorer
  • Consultative approach to sales, with curiosity and ability to listen
  • Great communication skills with ability to excite and convince others
  • 2-4 years previous conference sales experience
  • Knowledge of the market research industry is preferred
  • Fluent English is required for this position. Additional languages are considered as an advantage
  • Team player with positive impact to the working atmosphere
